About Helping Hands Behavioral Outreach

Helping Hands Behavioral Outreach (HHBO) is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of children and families through social engagement, skill development, and meaningful community experiences.

At the same time, HHBO serves as a training ground for future professionals in psychology, behavior analysis, and related helping professions—providing real-world experience rooted in mentorship, ethics, and service.

Who We Serve

Children do not need a specific diagnosis to participate. Programs are designed to be inclusive and responsive to different developmental levels and support needs. HHBO serves:

Children with a wide range of social, emotional, and developmental needs

Families seeking supportive, structured social programs

Students and trainees preparing for careers in psychology, behavior analysis, education, and related fields

Volunteers who want to make a meaningful impact

Training the Next Generation of Professionals

HHBO provides supervised, hands-on learning opportunities for students and emerging professionals, allowing them to:

● Gain experience working with children in group settings
● Learn how to support diverse needs ethically and respectfully
● Develop leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
● Understand the importance of service and community engagement

Many of our trainees go on to become professionals who continue to volunteer, mentor others, and give back to the communities they serve.

Our Approach

Our programs are:

● Skill-based and goal-oriented
● Structured, supportive, and flexible
● Group-based with individualized attention
● Designed to promote growth through practice and positive interaction

Helping Hands Behavioral Outreach does not provide clinical treatment or therapy. Our focus is on social development, community support, and experiential learning, not diagnosis or medical services.
